Those Humourless Eyes

I have always expected the end to be an emotional and tear-filled one. I have always thought that I needed you so much in my life.

Gradually I've come to realise that I'm happier without you. That I could feel so much more care free.

Somehow, something has changed. And it cannot be changed back.

And so now, our ending is an abrupt, wordless and cold one.

Whether this is permanant or temporary, I dont know. But I sincerely believe we'll both be happier if this arrangement is reached.

I admit it seems cowardly of me to do this online. Maybe I dont want to know what your reaction will be like or maybe I cant find the words when we talk face-to-face.

"There is nothing worse than seeing someone walk away after they've said goodbye. Seeing the distance between your bodies expand. Until there is nothing left but empty space and silence."

Perhaps you were right when you said I never did know you in the first place, but I know you value your freedom. For the interests of the both of us... Goodbye
